How did you manage to get the replacer to addon weapon stuff working? I myself tried to follow the tutorial but the Colt model didn't spawn for me

How do convert replacement weapons to addon weapons?
This has a tutorial only for the melee weapons but not the guns(Even though a method for guns is mentioned in it). Also, it says that you can convert melee and assualt weapons(At first I thought it meant rifles but I read comments and it seems like it's talking about any type of gun). Here's the relevant text:
Melee Weapons DLC Folder Same as before, but this one is provided by @yeahhmonkey and should work better. Basic
Assault Weapons DLC Folder Here you can put only Assault (gunfire) weapons. Again provided by @yeahhmonkey. Basic
Anyways, even the tutorial for converting replacement melee weapons to addon weapons has a dead link to something that is stated as important to make things work.
Are there any updated articles/tutorials regarding this? And if not does anyone know how to do this stuff?
RE: Addon peds and dlc.rpf file size limit 4GB
I have managed to load and make a stable modded game (1k + mods) with 220 addon peds.
I want to push it further and add 500-1000 addon peds and try to replace all vanilla ones etc.
The problem is that addon peds uses a dlc and the ped files need to be loaded into it, it has a 4gb file size limit.
I have tried so far:
create a dlc1.rpf and add dlc1 to the dlclist
This doesn't work if addonpeds reads it, it reads the first one in the xml dlclist then loads only from that.
How are mods calling the dlc/referencing it?
How to have the addon peds mod read a second and third dlc?
Is there another workaround to add more peds without relying on addon peds 3.0.1 other than replacing vanilla peds?
Did you figure this out? I'd like to do the same thing. And sorry for necroing
