@eshenk I watched and looked at several tutorials and followed them for my model, but I couldn't manage to create a uv template that I can use to create textures. All I was able to do was just create weird dimensions and stretched versions of the material I was using for that part of the model. I'm more confused on how I can't get any texture at all to even work in game. For example, if I put the color red as the texture in the .ytd it still isn't textured in game....
Not able to put textures on my model
I've been working on a model for one of my mods and in zmodeler I have all of the materials and textures set up properly and it looks good. When I export it and put it into the game the model still doesn't have any textures, not matter what textures I put into the .ytd.
I've gone through many tutorials and none of them work. If anyone knows how to help please add me on discord and show me what to do!
Problems texturing model
So I made a model and I have two textures that I wish to use for it. I followed a tutorial and got the textures looking fine in zmodeler, but when i export and then put into openiv they don't have textures, even after I replace all the files in the .ytd with my texture files that I previously used. I'm still very confused on how to map it out and let the model know what texture is what and where everything goes.

I got textures working on another model I made, however, that model was one I found online and seemed to come with all of the textures preconfigured. This time I completely started from scratch, both the textures and model are mine.
[WIP] working fire hose w/ physics
Currently modeling and scripting a fire hose that will be able to be attached to a fire engine and then can be used to spray fires. I plan to use the games rope function and replace the rope model with a fire hose and then create a script so you can attach the "assault fire nozzle" to the hose, which runs to the truck. I'm almost entirely done with the nozzle and hose, except I'm having an issue with the weapon model, and I've had this issue with all of my other weapon models I've made, where the model is rotated incorrectly in game. I've lined it up in zmodeler and 3ds but to no avail. Picture of what I'm talking about on another model: https://i.imgur.com/MAK8ku8.png
if anyone knows what's going on please tell me, just started modeling and I've pretty much been teaching myself by fiddling around with stuff! Hopefully if I can figure this out the whole thing should be done in a week or so.
Gun model is not rotating in game
So I created a replacement mod for the fire extinguisher, got the model in game and all, though it doesn't have textures. Even though in zmodeler I aligned the model perfectly so I could reuse the old animations, in game the model still isn't aligned how it was in zmodeler. I then did some calculations and rotated it in zmodeler to correct it so that in game it should work as planned, yet the model still doesn't rotate, however I can move its position relative to the player. Any thoughts?
Edit: I found some models from another game online and imported them into the game the same way I did with my model. I'm still having the same issue: https://i.imgur.com/MAK8ku8.png
I read something somewhere about having to import the default model and your custom model into 3dsmax and attaching them together and then deleting the original. Could someone send me a link to how to do that or give me a rundown? Thinking this might be the issue!
