Could do it that way, yeah, but I like a more immersive experience. Tabbing out pulls me right out of the game, if you know what I mean.
I've got very limited experience with VB scripting. Might try to make it happen.

Is it possible to launch an emulator from a script? For example, MAME with Neo Geo emulation or something.
So the script triggers when you want it to, MAME loads the emulated game, you play, you quit back to GTA5.
Could make for a fully functional arcade.
Let me preface this rant by saying that I have absolutely no problem with using leaked mods in my game. I don't believe mods should be locked behind any kind of walls.
Some time ago, I purchased some payware vehicles. They were original designs, not ripped, so fair enough. It wasn't cheap but I thought the mods were cool so I forked out the cash. They were FiveM exclusive but I told the author I don't play FiveM (never will) and I needed the mods for single player. I was sent links to the unlocked SP compatible mods. Downloaded and installed them, all good.
Now, I have NEVER leaked them and I have never seen them leaked anywhere. I assume I am quite possibly one of very few, if not the only, who has the unlocked versions. So obviously, any leak could be see me accused.
Recently, I went back to the author offering to buy a couple more mods that I thought were cool. Told him about my previous purchases, etc. I got an answer "NO. FiveM only." This really rubbed me the wrong way. I generally don't agree with purchasing mods but even when I try to do it "the right way", I hit a wall.
Look at the FiveM website. It's basically a storefront. People selling unlicensed intellectual property ripped from other games for prices more than a new copy of GTA5. People selling overpriced substandard quality mods. All locked by FiveM's escrow system. And it's getting worse. I'm starting to see it here too. Modders releasing a cut down version of a mod and pointing to Discord or Patreon to purchase the upgraded version.
On the other hand though, you get modders like BigShaqNOKetchup for example, who's mods far exceed most payware for quality and he releases everything for free. I assume purely for the love of modding and respect of the community. The way it's meant to be. Modding is essential to a game's longevity and keeping it free assures that.
I've been gaming for a lot longer than some of you have been alive. I've been modding with my limited skills for almost as long and I've watched the joy of modding slowly die as greed takes over.
Maybe I'm just annoyed because I couldn't buy those mods but I'm not even gonna try anymore. I'll go hunting for leaks and save my money for better things.
Agree or disagree. Just my opinion.
Is there any way to spawn a vehicle with visual damage? With missing doors or fenders, deformation, etc. Is there a native I haven't found or a different method?
Anyone here use nVidia Freestyle as an alternative to Reshade or ENB? Want to share your settings?
Does the Mile High Club mod work in story mode with the mpmap enabled? Wouldn't mind signing up to add it to my installed mod list but I can't find any info about mpmap compatibility.
@Starland No. I'm talking about using a crack to bypass the launcher completely. It can be considered piracy if you don't own the game, so I won't tell anyone where to find it, but it's out there on the net. It completely ignores Rockstar's or Steam's or Epic's bullsh*t and just let's you play the single player game. No launchers and logins needed.
I will say no more about this.
@JohnFromGWN I have the 7 disc version of the game. I've always hated third party platforms like Steam or EGS or Rockstar's Social Club. They tend to get in the way a lot but I understand they are a necessary evil in today's gaming landscape. I don't usually condone outright piracy, but I do own the game and if a crack allows me to bypass completely these platforms then I will use it, if it serves my purpose. I know it's not for everyone, though.
And I do keep backups of everything. Every update, every mod I use or have ever used, EVERYTHING. lol. My GTA5 backup drive sits at 159GB at the moment. If this community disappears tomorrow, or Rockstar's servers crash, I still have access to my fully modded game (albeit the last version before SH was updated).
@Starland There are more elicit ways to circumvent the patching system and Rockstar's or Steam's launchers in general. I only play offline and choose to use this method for that reason. The game will never update unless you restore access to the launcher. It will always boot directly into story mode at whatever version you have it updated to.
Seek and you shall find.
I keep a storage drive in my computer specifically for GTA5 files. I've backed up every update since the game launched on PC. I have them all right back to version 1.0.323.1 so I can revert to any version necessary. This is for the Rockstar launcher disc version, though. Always good to keep backups.
