I have the same problem right now and i was trying to fix it and i have no clue what to do with this problem

I accidentally switched the internet explorer of my friends PC when we’re Teamviewing while I was adding mods for him but I don’t know how to switch to the default file icon back but with internet explorer on it crashes the game while loading story so can anyone help me how to fix it?
