After some searching on google I found an article about someone having trouble with installing DirectX and that person fixed it by installing the repair tool.

I finally found the solution !!

For the people who have the same problem this was the solution for me:
I had to install the .NET framework repair tool, then I could install DirectX without any problems.
Now OpenIV works without problems!

After openiv was installed I got the message that d3dx9_33.dll is missing, so I downloaded it and put it in place. Now I get the error message that it could not start properly (0xc000007b) ... can anyone help?
