@cp1dell I'm looking into ways to allow slots to contain more than one type of weapon. No promises on that though.

RE: Moderators need to change attitudesposted in Site-Related Questions & Feedback
@InfiniteQuestion you left the Discord server before anyone replied to your message, so I'll just copy-paste my reply here as well.
The rules aren't contradictory, especially after yesterday. Your pack forced us to detail and clarify the rules even more. Just like in the real world, the rules on 5Mods must adapt to an ever-changing environment. And just like in the real world, the rules are there for good reason.
You were banned initially, but after further review you were promptly released from the ban. Nothing to be upset about at this point. We've noticed you've unpublished all of your mods again. This time we will not republish them should you change your mind later on. This is no threat, just a friendly reminder.
If you decide you do in fact want to leave permanently, you may fill out an account deletion request in the form of a User Enquiry and an administrator will follow up on it.

RE: Pickups by InfamousSabreposted in General Modding Discussion
@mudboy_nw Nope. Since I work on it when I have time / when I feel like it, it happens when it happens. I'm currently working on addressing all the installation issues people had in the past. As it turns out, making an idiot-proof install method isn't easy.

RE: Pickups by InfamousSabreposted in General Modding Discussion
@cp1dell My apologies. I don't check forums much at all. Even in the currently released version the slots are fully customizable, so you can easily designate melee weapons to a new slot of their very own, but due to the fact that slots can only contain one item, unarmed will always have its own place right at the bottom.

You were told not to upload or link to uploads of unedited Rockstar assets. You did so anyway. You are deliberately attempting to circumvent the rules and undermine authority. This will not be tolerated.

RE: Pickups by InfamousSabreposted in General Modding Discussion
It was taken down due to people complaining of incompatibilities with newer patches even though I'd already stated it hadnt been updated for newer patches. Basically, I got tired of people who dont know how to read.
A new version is in development though. It utilizes an auto-installer that scans all game files, modifies them, then installs. This way the mod is update-proof. There also shouldn't be anymore requests for weapon-wheel texture creation, as not only have I created a tutorial, but I've also included all the texures one should ever need. In-car weapon wheel is a new feature that is in-progress. I've also had requests for better add-on weapon support, so that is on the list as well.
Finally, I've been trying to come up with a new name, as "Pickups" refers to an in-game mechanic and gets confusing in conversation. If anyone has any decent suggestions, I'm all ears.

Had to make a system to mark additional lootspawn locations. This will help NPCs explore the map as well.

[SCRIPT] [WIP] Battle Royale SPposted in Releases & Works in Progress
Ever played PUBG? Of course you have. Ever wanted to PUB the G in Los Santos? Who wouldn't? Ever wanted to play against bots instead of humans? Probably not, but soon you'll be able to!
Battle Royale in GTA V. Because I can.
NPC Players currently shoot at others and run for the zone. NPC looting is being worked on at the moment.
Heres a short tease while I work on AI

Newly uploaded file should automatically be set as primary file.posted in Site-Related Questions & Feedback
Exactly as the title says. Upload new file, automatically set it as primary when it is approved. It not already working this way seems like an oversight.

Too early for that. We still don't know exactly what is going on. At least wait until we hear it from GooD himself.

@SancrisWolf These two things have no correlation.
New layout looks nice. I'm glad we can keep track of old uploads now. I'm sure this will be useful in the future.

@tall70 im discussing this with admins . and later we shall ask rockstar as well may be.
If admins agree we will host those files 1.4 gb max size . which can be put into working legit copy of the game and it will downgrade the game to working older version. Currently csnt host such files like exe vlauncher or update.rpf cuz its against website policy .
May be we can atleast provide a link to those alternate files . but only after admins agree and we have discussed this.
Don't get shut down too

This is stupid, why would they call ''Illegal'' a modding tool for Singleplayer? This is totally legal! They are just too thirsty with the money, those idiots don't know that most of the people buy GTA 5 to mod the game, the console players are an exception.
But seriously though, modding is what makes the game better, even better than that online bullcrap, this is the main reason why GTA 6 is going to be an epic fail. This shut down will create a war and probably even send R* to the grave.give me a break. if take2 was your business, you'd do the same thing. take2 is in business to make money. period. your happiness is a byproduct of that. honestly, I'd do the same thing. I also wouldn't care what less than 1/10 of 1 percent of the people who buy my have to say. modders are one timers. they buy the game and never look back. thier target is the people who are content to play the vanilla version online and buy the shark cards.
face it, the various petitions floating around the web have barely 30k signatures. now GTA V has moved 70 million units since release. on track to be 3rd on the list of best selling game of all time. If it were my property, I'd protect it too. and deep down, you all know you would too.think about it. 70 million vs. a mob of 30k .. not even a drop in the bucket.
I am a game developer and I can say with 100% certainty that all my games are built and will always be built to support modding. Modding the game adds to the fun after the shine has worn off.

Why? GTA 5 modding is officially dead by the coming morning.
Jeesus... I guess I have to post this here, too.
You do realize this does not stop you from modding or playing the game, don't you? New mods can still be made, installed, and played, just like before. Prevent your game from updating by using the launcher bypass, use the current Scripthook version and OpenIV 2.9 (block it from the internet using Windows Firewall), and you're modding and playing like nothing ever happened. Making firewall rules for OpenIV.exe won't do anything if you don't turn on your firewall! Don't forget that important step.
Nothing is dead except OpenIV. And even then it's only dead in the sense that it will no longer be updated. v2.9 still works just fine.

RE: The end of OpenIVposted in General Modding Discussion
Considering this happening just before an update to Scripthook that would support the GunRunners update, I feel it is necessary to show T2 how weaponized vehicles should really be done. Anyone interested in working with me, doing some ZModeler3 work?

It isn't about the nag message. We've got that part sorted already. It's about them killing development of the #1 tool used for modding GTA files. So many things left undone.

@ikt I had no Idea they even had such a channel, or that much activity. Joining now!

RE: The end of OpenIVposted in General Modding Discussion
@ikt LMS is one of the people working on RagePluginHook and LSPDFR. (http://www.lcpdfr.com/profile/14-lms/) I'm not sure if he's on here or GTAForums, But pretty sure he's on the LSPDFR site as well as the RPH IRC channel.

RE: The end of OpenIVposted in General Modding Discussion
@Unknown-Modder Ah, I forgot the handles of everyone else on the team, honestly. lol. Its been forever since I've chatted with them. LMS is pretty cool though. @ikt You should ask him. Worst he could say is "no", right?

@drp4lyfSince you all seem to have pretty damn good knowledge of reversing and stuff, what are the chances of getting back with script modding if Alexander Blade ends up not being able to update ScriptHookV?
RagePluginHook seems to have updated their native hashes already for 1103, how/what do they do to do this?
I'm not sure exactly what DK's (MulleDK19) process/tools are, but that dude is always at work. I'd ask him, but he keeps to himself a lot.

RE: The end of OpenIVposted in General Modding Discussion
Well that sucks that there won't be any more updates for OpenIV. For me, that just means I won't be updating GTA V, either. Script compatibility will end with the mpspecialraces update.
I'm glad I never paid for this game. Someone gifted it to me, so T2 still got paid, but at least it didn't come out of my pocket.
