I am currently working on a masterpiece replica U-Haul truck that features the truck bed which I actually got from Sketchup and and UV mapped it as well as the dashboard adding warning stickers etc to add to the realism.
I plan to continue working on UV mapping the interior of truck bed and add some extras like a dolly
Let me know what ya think so far, plan on releasing it this week hopefully
In Zmod. I swapped out the steering wheel from a different model and loaded up the game and apparently the animation is incorrect as shown in the image here.
I wonder what I need to do to fix this?

UPDATE
I fixed it, problem was found with the axes box in zmodeler that I had to click to recenter it with the steering wheel so now it works fine.
I imported this emissive ydr file for the dashound station which I modified and tried to export and got the missing shader config 134 error
I have tried upon researching by selecting normal or normal_spec for them but that won't work since it erases the emissive profiles that were attached to them.
How do I adapt a shader config without wiping out the emissive profile?

Thx guys I got it working. Only problem is that OpenIV would not take the edditable carcaols file I downloaded for some reason so I instead just replaced the North Yankton plate and set the Speedo to show that plate.
Anyways here is how the plate and Uhaul van looks, I am going to upload it this weekend once I finish tweaking the template.
I am creating another U-haul van off the Chevy Express and I want to possibly assign it to a Arizona license plate by downloading one , and my question is can it be done without it affecting all the vehicles in the game except the one I want to assign it to?
I followed a Tut. on editing vehicle glass textures in Zmodeler in which I had to make a transparent glass image in Gimp then go into the materials browser and create a new material to adapt the Vehicle_vehglass profile and import the created texture into it which shows up fine when I UV map the glass but when I export it and open it in OpenIV or the game, the glass is all white. I need some guidance of what went wrong to fix it to do it the right way, thanks
I'm sorry man, I didn't think none of it when I made the post lol. On the positive side, I got the vehicle persistence mod working, turns out that the scripthookDOTnet that I downloaded off this site was outdated and had to get the latest version off the authors site.
The other mod crashed game too. I think it was mainly bc I was still on release day patch 1.3.501 lol I had the CD version with the crack with no way of updating lol So I bought the steam version and now I am up to date, transferred save files, mods etc over. Altho those two scripts wont load, that the authors of those mod probably has to make it comparable with latest scripthook. But I found out how to save vehicles through Menyo and it locks the vehicle in place just fine which is good enough for me. Thank you for the help.
Chunkie that mod is not working for me, my game crashes when hitting the save vehicle key. Error can't find native 0x7d1464d472d32136
Is there any way to save or spawn vehicles on a ramp locking its position? There is a ramp in the corner of the downtown Los Santos Vapid dealership lot which I replaced it with Ford dealership mod and was attempting to place a Ford F350 on it but have no luck keeping it on the ramp besides freezing the vehicle through Meyoo, that's all I can do but can't save it.
Any help on this will be much appreciated, thanks
Thank you for your input I would definitely mix some of those vanilla box trucks in my mod, I never thought of that as it would make my job a lot easier editing the templates.
As for the location not fitting the countryside, I had no other choice, I tried really hard wanting to find a spot in the city but all the buildings I like either had any parking lot to spawn the trucks or the buildings had 3D Logos attached to them, it would of been awkward editing them with that in the way.
Last few days I have been transforming this ragged run down paint shop that is next to ammonation in the country side converting it into a Uhaul Center that is turning out pretty good so far.
What I have done so far
Changed Sign
Logp placed on building
Applied new texture to part of wall
roof, and garage doors behind the building
Removed the gang tags from the building
What planned ahead
Retexture the windows, doors and rest of the wall
The big part of this mod that I want to do is have a fleet
of Uhaul large, small trucks and vans, trailers spawned in the parking
lot next to building which in this case I would hope I can get permission from
the authors to include Chevy Express Van w/ whoever made the Uhaul scheme for
it as well as any other trucks I could use like Ford F150's that has moddable templates
that I could include with my mod.

Ah ha found it! Thanks man. But yea I don't get that tho why wasn't it with the model itself instead they scatter them elsewhere. Rockstar has their priorities messed up with their format as its not as simple when modding Gta San Andreas back in the day.
Ah ok, I downloaded codewalker myself and tried it out and had the same result but I actually like the program its much easier to use and have better luck finding the source.
I am kind of exploring elsewhere to hopefully try to clone a sign from somewhere wlse on the map, I found a couple that I liked but upon opening the ydr file of the model its grouped with the building on the lot and do think I could unattach it if it was possible it would require a lot of effort probably

I went through all that and there was one extra texture file in the Embedded textures I edited it and replaced it and nothing changed in the game still showing the default texture hmm.
Thanks guys, I did find it and I ran into another small problem, this sign I wanted to edit does not look like the actual texture file as I just did a quick edit of it and saved it and nothing changed here is the link to texture, I am clueless of where the sign is getting its texture from?

Thanks man, I jotted down everything I need now I am having trouble locating them in OpenIV wherever building models are located under which archive?
Any mod or way to find the textures for specific buildings that are in the game? I have an idea of a mod that I want to create by editing the textures to this paint shop building next to ammunation that is in the country side. I tried Map editor mod, its great but I can not select existing objects that are default in the game only props and objects that I spawn that's it.
Please point me in the right direction thanks
