Correction - I mean how to install and play mods on gta v

Ok, I might sound stupid, but I can't figure out how to mod. I've watched many tutorials trying to get it, and I cant. Mostly because when I download mods it just comes as a notepad, not the file. So I can't do what it is asking me to do. Can anyone help me with this?

Is there any way to fix this? I wanted to play GTA v but I keep getting this message. Its really annoying... How do I fix it? I know you can back up old files or something but I can't figure it out.

I'm getting the FATAL ERROR when i start up gta and i cant play it. This is because of scripthook but i cant use it because the new update wont work, does anything have a solution?
