Hey guys,

I've been wanting to spawn bodyguards but I love Menyoo and don't want to have to switch to ENT34 to just have the bodyguard feature.
I've spawned in a ped and then went into the ped options and made them my companion and also gave them a weapon, yet they won't do anything to help me in a firefight, they just kinda tag along haha. What is it that I'm doing wrong?

i'm getting the same problem but my game will actually load and i can play for like 2-3mins but it crashes after that.

exact same scripthook log on mine too and I made 100% sure that the INMNativeUI was in the scripts folder

update:

Tried getting rid of my mods folder, game is still crashing after playing for about 3-5mins. Even though it's annoying as hell, I might just have to reinstall and just add back a few mods I liked.

Just earlier I tried removing the scripts folder and playing but same thing, as soon as I move around it'll let me play and be fine but only for about 5-10 seconds and then just freeze.

@LeeC2202 thanks so much! copied over the 1.40 update.rpf to my mods folder and added back in a couple of mods that were installed in there before.

Ok, so the game is loading now. But as soon as I move a few steps it will freeze and crash, I copied a fresh copy of update.rpf to my mods folder again and just tried it. Same thing, few steps and it crashes. but if I don't move it will keep on working. Any ideas?

To start off, before the scripthookv update, I was playing fine by using the Bypass method (steam version). My game had updated but I made a backup of the GTA5.exe (v1.39) and copied that over and it was working fine with mods and all. Today I saw that scripthookv was updated so I downloaded it and copied it over to my GTA root folder and copied back the v1.40 GTA.exe.

Now when I start my game it works, it's when I press Story Mode and it's loading, halfway it just comes up with a "program stopped working" message. I updated my Enhanced Native Trainer as well and have mpgunrunning.asi too. What am I doing wrong? when I look at the scripthookv log, it says everything loaded and successful

Hey guys, noob to GTA5 modding with a few questions.

I just wanted to know if its safe to keep using OpenIV to install mods (not legally but as in, it wont crash my game). Steam updated my game, but luckily I have a 1.39 version of GTA5.exe and have just copied that across and the game works fine with the mods I've already had.

But now when I go to install a mod with OpenIV (updated version) it comes up with a message along the lines of "update.rpf and update.rpf in mods folder does not match." So being new, I panicked and closed everything without installing anything.

Also, once the new scripthookv version comes out, for me to play on v1.40, do I just need to replace the scripthookv files with the new ones and replace back the 1.40 GTA5.exe? Is it really that simple? haha

I only got GTA5 on PC a few weeks ago with the intention to only play singleplayer with mods so I'm a noob to all this. So we just need to wait for a new version of ScriptHookV to come out. Is it as simple as just deleting the old ScriptHookV and the .dll file and copying in the new ones? Then all my mods will still work, or do I need to install anything else again? Oh and so that this doesn't happen in the future can I just disable auto updates on Steam and keep playing just singleplayer, or singleplayer won't load at all if I don't update?
