So I've been using this guide for a lot of time now: https://forums.gta5-mods.com/topic/14011/reference-vehicle-sound-guide
But it's clearly outdated (from 5 years ago), and lots of new cars have been added to GTA V. Plus not all the cars have been listed.
So I would love to bring back that topic to life, and get some people to try and classify all engine sounds.
I think we should put the info in an excel, so here is a google form:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1i726UW3VqEBanbFr-HHO_jJVgUYM057xX53Cy3IzhFk/edit?usp=sharing
It's open to everyone to edit and add things to this file. Just please don't grief it.
Since I have little to no knowledge about engines and engine sounds, I've only made the "template" of the excel sheet, but didn't fill it with information.
Any help is appreciated.
If u have any suggestion make sure to leave them below!
Thanks in advance for the help.
UPDATE (14/03/2022):
The names will be put in "hash" names (basically it will be the name you spawn the car with).
UPDATE (19/03/2022):
I've got a friend helping me to classify all engine sounds from the game to the excel sheet. So the editing from that document will be restricted now. If you see any error or have any suggestion to do, make sure to post them down in the comments/reply section. And if you are willing to help actively on the guide, contact me on discord @ ma-T-o#8415.
On top of that, I've decided to make this guide in different steps:
Get all sounds classified
Get a "sound" file linked to every car (I'm recording all engine sounds, but I still have to figure out how to link them in the excel sheet).
Add a "filtering" system for all the sounds (ex: from most loud to most silent engine, and this tipe of classification).
Once all that is done, I'll delete this post and create a new and cleaner post.
