In my GTA folder I only have 2 .exe's (dont seem to have a launcher one) - its the EPIC version.
I do (on another drive) have have a rockstar launcher folder with a "launcher.exe" - this I didnt back up but it looks it was not recently modified.......
will just try to replace the x2 .exe's in the root and the update file and see if it works?
(do you think I might need to replace the launcher.exe (in the rockstar folder?)

Update: strangely just tried to delete the GTA5.exe - and it said can't be deleted because its open/being used? (although its not GTAV is closed!)

got mine auto updated also - but I kept a vanilla back up and one with mods.

have copied over the update.rpf with my mods but which .exe do a copy over (have a GTA5.exe and a PlayGTAV.exe)?

actually pretty sure it isn't a meta issue as every add on car I spawn now seems to have a blue lighting below it and in the interior (which I can't seem to turn off) seems to be some kind of LED lightning effect but changing the led lighting settings don't change it - I think originally I got the effect by changing some thing within the menyoo trainer (saved that car) but now it seems to have applied itself to all addon cars since then that I spawn through Menyoo.....

Update:Had it again today - was playing Michael in SP and got the color effect (in the car interior and under the car) every time I either spawned an add on car for him or jumped in a random car! (really weird because LED light options will not disable it) - so the effected seems to be saved across all mods/vehicles

Running Menyoo trainer and noticed when I load an add on car they all have very strong interior lights which reflect onto the road around the car (maybe there is some option been enabled in the trainer?) - anyone any idea how I can disable these on Menyoo trainer or somewhere else?(have found an LED lights option but does not seem to disable this effect)

Also I noticed on some of my police cars getting a very strong light/bloom off the back of them during the day (ones with white paint) - anyone any idea how to disable this?

realize this is an old topic but having same problem.....

started modding GTAV and installed some mod's that worked ok until I tried vanilla works mod....then game started crashing

realize i might need to update my config file (have downloaded a couple from 5mods) - however i find the gamesconfig.xml
from the downloads but what do I need to update in the mods folder (my mods folder only seems to have a mods/update (folder) and within that there is just an x64 folder and a update.rpf file? (update link seems to be - Installation Path: mods/update/update.rpf/common/data) - but I cant seem to drill down beyond the update.rpf file to find the gamesconfig.xml file to overwrite?

any help appreciated.......

Completely new to modding GTA V and want to give a couple of mod's a try (below) and have some questions:

1)Both of these seem to recommend installing via a program called openIV - however interested to install then via the mod manager so I can switch between single player and online easily - is it possible to install them via
the mod manger? (if yes how can you do this)
2)Will i need to install the hook and hook.net software directly onto to the game for mods to work?
3)Actually downloaded the OIV file and can see its an auto install .exe -can it be used/installed with mod manager?
4)Can see the mod manager seems to setup a rule on windows firewall - I run win10 but use G Data internet security - will mod manager automatically change the rules for my G Data anti virus as it seems to do with windows firewall or would I need to do something manually? any help appreciated....
