You just need to get the UV2 from the model, any way you can. It is this channel that is used for liverie.

RE: Which 3DS Max version best for GTA 5 modding?
In theory, GIMS (fan assembly) even supports 3ds max 2022, but personally I have a lot of problems and bugs with it. If you are only interested in modding under gta v and you are not going to use 3ds max for something else, then try 2016 and the original GIMS build, it worked much more stable. I want to note that OpenFormat still only supports ydd / ydr, not yft format.

Usually yes but we can't say how long will take AB's to update SHV to the latest version.
Usually he makes an update within a week, but there were cases that the update even came out in 3 days.

RE: Specular Maps RGB channels
In the case of an MP character, the blue channel works as a mask for blending the texture of the body+clothes with the skin tone selected by the player. Those. for example, all underpants textures have a white skin tone, but only underpants are displayed due to the mask, and everything else is replaced with skin tone.

RE: YFT files in Blender
@ajejebrazorf_18 said in YFT files in Blender:
@JohnFromGWN Thank you very much! But I have a problem: when I try to export vehicles, OpenIV exports the files in .otd and not in .odd or .ord, if I follow the instruction of the video. And if I try to export as open format OpenIV exports the skeleton in a .skell file... I don't know if there's a difference between vehicles and peds .yft, any suggestion?
For "yft" format, it must be "oft" format. But it has not yet been implemented. The only thing that can be exported is the skeleton, which is used in 3ds max to work with characters. In the case of blender, yft cannot be imported in any way. The only way is to use the converter from GTA V to DFF format (gta sa).

RE: Popgroups modding. Ambulance and Firetruck spawn in traffic?
By the way, in GTA V, you can't even find police cars on the streets. If in GTA IV sometimes they came across on the roads, then in GTA V they appear only when the wanted level appears. It is so stupid.

RE: 3DS Max + Cars
@stari said in 3DS Max + Cars:
Is there a way to convert vehicle models for 3ds without using zmodeler?
It looks like no, cars and other "yft" models cannot be edited in any way using 3ds max or other programs.
I still do not understand why OpenIV cannot implement the "oft" format, in one interview they mentioned that the format is almost ready, but they cannot release it due to some problems with the parameters of the windows of the machines and this is terribly annoying.
The very same Zmodeler 3 is a very terrible program. The last update was back in 2019. The author asks for a subscription of $3 per month, which is an awful lot for such a program. Personally, I would use it maybe 1-2 times a month.Even Blender, which outperforms Zmodeler in every way, is free software. The whole problem is that no one has implemented support for GTA V for Blender or yft for 3ds max.

I love HL2...
That's diffently something I would consider in the next weeks.
Maybe you find someone doing it before me, but that's something I see myself driving inMuch Combine Love
The model "HL2 Buggy Remaster" has appeared on the network, I think you should use it if you are going to do it.

RE: Suggestion for site functionality.
It is a pity that the administration is too lazy to add something new. It burns wildly for me at the sight of content from the user Nivinha, let's speak directly and not only from me. Few people like these mods. As a modder with 12 years of experience, trying to do everything with maximum quality, I cannot look at most of the terrible quality of models or, for example, users who upload the most noticeable texture changes to some thread, portonography or hentai. I want to go to the site and see high-quality interesting content, where I see huge asses, breasts, hentai, all sorts of lipsy MP characters made of a man and other rubbish.
