[VEHICLE][WIP] VOLVO 140 series (1966–1974)posted in Releases & Works in Progress
The Volvo 140 Series is a line of mid-size cars manufactured and marketed by Volvo from 1966 to 1974 in two- and four-door sedan (models 142 and 144) as well as five door station wagon (model 145) body styles—with numerous intermediate facelifts. More than a million Volvo 140s were built.

I want to make a model 144 from the early 70s because in 1979 my father bought a 7-year-old used Volvo 144 S (His 5th car). He sold it after two years, and bought a new VW Golf1 which he kept for the rest of his life... and yes, that is very young me on that pic... just about 40 years ago

The 3D model I found is from the 60s ( https://www.desirefx.me/volvo-144-sedan-1967-3d-model/ ), in the 70s facelifting brought new grill, so I decided to create such.
I might leave 60s grill as tuning part option.

In addition to the 144 version, I might try to make a 142 or 145 version as well ... maybe. But I work slowly because I have to exercise and walk for health reasons, after three new stents implanted in my coronary arteries

[VEHICLE][WIP] Volkswagen Type 3 (1961–1973)posted in Releases & Works in Progress
The Volkswagen Type 3 is a compact car that was manufactured and marketed by Volkswagen from 1961 to 1973.

I'm currently working on the "Notchback" version, but my plan is to try to make other versions as well, such as "Fastback" or "Squareback". It will take some time. -
RE: [VEHICLE][WIP] SIMCA 1100 / 1200 / 1204 (1967 - 1985)posted in Releases & Works in Progress
I’ve been doing a lot of welding lately. I reduced about 900k polygons...

... so now I can show the first shots from the game. A few more details are missing, such as badges, but that will come too.

Next, follows the addition of polygons. I need to make the interior, but before that I will see what I can do for the engine. (I will let you know) -
RE: [VEHICLE][WIP] PEUGEOT 404 (1960–1975)posted in Releases & Works in Progress
The Peugeot 404 won four Safari Rally. First in 1963, and then three times in a row: 1966, 1967 and 1968...

For the livery, I chosed the one from 1967, and with that come some other linked parts...

The extra lights are covered because as a tuning part they can’t function properly and wouldn’t even be breakable. .. I found an original photo from one of the rallies where the “Lucas” covers can be seen.

Model had no engine. I am not an engine expert, but I made up something:

Progress with my "Fastback"

While for the “Notchback” I just needed to convert a nice model from “Forza”, “Fastback” presents a bigger challenge. Almost half of the car needs to be changed.

I fitted the side vents. They will be good for "Squareback" as well.

I will modify some parts from Notchback, and others I will try to create myself.

I know I will not easily reach the same level, but I will try to get as close as possible. -
RE: [VEHICLE][WIP] Citroën DS "Break" ("Safari","Station Wagon") 1958-1975posted in Releases & Works in Progress
Finally LODs. It pleased me, after lot of welding, to lower the highest lod below 300.000 polygons. Another round of welding brought in other Lods as well. 12500, 3500 and 478 polygons. Considering I started with over a million polygons, I think this will be appropriate.

OK, here are the LODs. I am happy with number of polygons... and I also mapped all LODs, so livery will not disappear with the distance

It took some time to make triple LODs, but here it is.

@MrGTAmodsgerman I actually had to reduce the rotation. The car has two trunks, front and rear. They both open together (you can see that at the beginning of the last video), and the hood (engine cover) is inside the rear trunk. If you only open the "bonnet", in case of greater rotation, the "bonnet" would come out through the boot.
For "Fastback", and especially for "Squareback", the rotation of the bonnet will be higher. -

@MrGTAmodsgerman , @Arminoderso
I did it and tested it replaying the prologue. It looks fine. Only in cinematic parts sitting positions are somewhat low, but in game it is all fine. Here it is:

When I make car mods for GTA V, I like to make videos with it (I need these breaks). Often, this is with the music from the same era. One of the great music hits of the mid 60's is "The House of Rising Sun" ("The Animals" 1964). As this is a German car (designed in America), I chose the "Wolfenstein's" parody version of the song.
I'm not sending any messages, I just like the song. For the clarity, I added English subtitles.
