I was doing some file maintenance and noticed Steam updated the sacrificial GTA V directory I use for this purpose. Will this update need a new Scripthook file? Asking for all who uses only one modded directory

Female MP Freemode Clothing.
Is there anyone out there willing to make some classy garments for the female peds? It seems all that's created is stuff for the streets. Just asking.

RE: At high speed misc. clonk sounds....
@bmw740il I think it's to simulate hitting bumps or imperfections in the road. Kinda like the stupid turbulence meta they add for aircraft.

Clean PC Copy of GTA 5 not attached to a gaming site
I'm about ready to throw in the towel. Can't sign on to Steam anymore because of a software conflict I guess, and the DLC updates are becoming a pain. Can you mod on a legit PC copy of GTA V that's not associated with a game site like Steam? RANT : If I'm going to continue this, I prefer to not be bothered by the issues of paying for a game that someone else controls. Back in the day, and I'm dating myself. When you bought a game it was yours. You didn't have to become part of a service to use what you paid for. And get put in a headlock by their ability to control how you use it. (I don't play online) I got into this two yeas ago after being absent from gaming since 2002. It seems the powers that be got us under their thumbs for everything these days. Pay for it, but you can't have it completely.
Thanks in Advance,

How to add objects for the Helicopter cargo hook?
Been spawning certain objects for scenarios, and the helicopter's cargo hook won't engage. Right now, it will only capture cars and two types of wooden crates.

RE: J**** C****! I haven't finished cleaning up the last update's mess....
@JohnFromGWN Agreed. However, it's a slow burn. You're probably a lot younger than me. Take an assessment in about 30 years from now, and see how many things you were allowed to do today that will be restricted, outlawed, or charged for by then. No matter how slight they may seem. Some changes will be for the better, and others I'll guarantee you will not be. Change is not always bad, but over correction and greed for examples, are. When you do that assessment, and note the differences, you're gonna remember our conversation. Only time will tell.

@MissySnowie You're Spot on. As an old person by gaming standards, I've seen the changes you speak of. Not just gaming, but quality of life in general. One of the reasons I took up modding GTA, It's a stress reliever and a momentary escape. With the passing of each year of our lives, a freedom is legislated, or lobbied away. While others require fees today that were free before to participate. I Tell young people, If there's something you want to do, Do it a soon as possible. Because some bureaucrat in his office is dreaming up a way to restrict, fine, or make it illegal.

RE: J**** C****! I haven't finished cleaning up the last update's mess....
@JohnFromGWN I hear ya. I used to be able to just use the one exe file until the July update. everything went to hell after that. It didn't work anymore. (for me anyway) Everything worked cool until the July update. Saving that directory on the external saved me. I predict GTA 6 will be next to impossible to mod. I have no proof, but a bad feeling.
Hope all is well.

@iammistahwolf After you get this up and working again, I have a suggestion. This only works for Steam. Backup the entire directory on an external hard drive. Remove it, and put it in a safe place. Let the update go through. Delete it, then reinstall your saved directory. This takes a while depending on how many mods, etc you have installed. You won't get the new peds, cars, etc. But your original directory with your mods will be ready to go. Or save the .exe files and use them. I tried to just replace the .exe file, but for some reason, that method does not work for me. The game will crash on loading. However, Your mileage may vary. So I just back up my entire directory.
I will back it up after so many mods are added. I've never had any problems playing the game since doing this. If your game becomes corrupted, sometimes verifying the files does not fix it. If that happens, you can just delete the directory, and reload the one you backed up from your external hard drive, and you're golden. I know, It's a pain in the ass, but this is what I have been doing to keep me here in the game playing instead of waiting for scripthook to update.

RE: real life California laws to GTA 5
I live in Los Angeles, no one cares about the gun laws here in CA. Every other felon carries concealed here, and they have assault weapons also. And most of the civilan peds are unarmed. So, its like Los Santos anyway. Art imitating life.
