Found a clue towards what handling flag "TYRES_CAN_CLI" does; I had issues with the Schwartzer accelerating stupidly fast, even when I turned down the inertia multiplier as low as 0.2, and only when I removed that flag, did it start behaving normally again. So I'm guessing it may mean "tires can climb hills" and increases forward traction or downforce significantly. This seems to be corroborated by the Sandking, Dump, Sanchez & Tractor being some of the few vanilla cars to use it. Why they used it on the Feltzer, Stinger and Police3 are anyone's guess though.

RE: Watch out 'R's' throwing out another update....posted in General Modding Discussion
I hate that Steam will never warn you, it just starts updating unexpectedly when you try to launch. I'm not going to check R*'s newswire every friggin day just in case they decide to update so I can know in advance.

@Hellcat_Productions Reduce the "FINITIALDRIVEFORCE" value.

@Turrel81 I ended up starting over with a fresh update.rpf and that seems to have done the trick. Still don't know what I may have missed because I usually only edit the handling.meta in there.

OpenIV cursor jumpingposted in Installation Help & Troubleshooting
Does anybody else have this issue? Whenever I edit something like a handling.meta with OpenIV, the first edit stroke I try to make, be it a backspace or adding a character, simply jumps the cursor up a few lines. Afterwards, everything works fine. This is only right after I've opened a file with the first keystroke. But it's extremely frustrating when I start typing, look up and it's going nowhere near where I wanted it. OpenIV has also been crummy for me with the search function for a while now. It finds the word instances, but when I hit enter, brings me nowhere near where they actually are. So I just have to scroll around looking.

@a63nt-5m1th I'm having the same problem as him and I'm no noob. Actually, I recognize your name, I think we've talked about editing the handling.meta before. IDK what's going on, ever since Cayo Perico like 75% of add-ons just won't spawn. I've tried everything from different gameconfigs to adjusters, eliminated every mod except the add-ons to no avail... all my syntax looks good... this is driving me nuts and nobody seems to have an idea why.

RE: So do mods actually work on this game anymore??posted in Installation Help & Troubleshooting
@Yosuke It seems very random, maybe 60-70% of them don't work, but others will. This one I've had in my DLClist for a while and it will show in Menyoo, but just won't spawn when you click it:
https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/willard-idaho-addon
And BTW, I cleared out my DLClist so that I only have the 4-5 add-on cars I want in there, and even still, some won't load.
