I dislike the new mod page layout for a few reasons. I will try to go into detail.
Comments are now on a different tab and another click away. Comments are important on 5mods and there is always a lot of activity going on in the comments section, such as user feedback to mod author and other users exchanging helpful information. Putting it on another tab is kinda annoying. To make things worse, when you are on the comments tab and refresh the page to view new comments, it puts you back on the description tab. I also think that Pinned Comments are very important and contain useful information on practically every mod page. Not seeing that upon clicking the mod page is a big problem for myself and probably others.
User mods are now advertised on the left side where the old mod description used to be. This is distracting for users who are trying to view images/text about a specific mod. Why can't you guys just put the description back where it used to be and the comments section in the middle without tabs? It was fine and people liked it. I can't even view the comments section and the mod description at the same time now. It used to be easier to view each of them back and forth and process information faster.
You're not supposed to change something that isn't broken.
Are you guys trying to help users discover new mods so they have longer engagement times on the site before leaving? There are better ways of doing that such as changing the Misc. page itself instead of effecting the mod page. A lot of people find mod pages from YouTube videos or other websites and treat them like a mini-forum where they constantly come back to discuss things with the author or other users. Anyway, I really don't see the logic behind this change and would like an explanation.
Hopefully the admins/devs can come together and restore the layout. In my opinion the current layout isn't beneficial to many users at all. By the way, the home page is a mess when trying to distinguish Latest Files vs Most Downloaded mod and needs to be spaced out.
