Version 0.9 is released. Here is a video showing a couple of new features:

What's new:

• FEATURE: Support for ikt's "Manual Transmission & Steering Wheel Support" mod views (https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/manual-transmission-ikt)
• FEATURE FOR KEYBOARD USERS: Move your view without leaving mouse steering mode - 3 variants
• FEATURE: Camera adjustment mode can now be cancelled; view will revert to previous setting.
• FEATURE: A fallback default vehicle camera settings file is included to prevent overwriting user camera settings when updating the mod
• FIX: "Crash" effect incorrectly shown after aiming in 1st person and in other situations
• FIX: Camera now moves relative to the vehicle; not to the horizon

Version 0.9 of CCC is now released, and it is packed with new features. The video below shows what's new in this update:

• FEATURE: Cruise control (2 modes)
• FEATURE: Neon lights management
• FEATURE: Roll individual windows up/down
• FEATURE: Added animation for lock/unlock
• FEATURE: Locking a car will make it persistent; it should not disappear.
• FEATURE: Turn indicators / hazards now have sound

Unfortunately, I can't seem to get things properly set up to be able to show the player character's hands while in the vehicle. The problem is that when braking hard, the character shifts forward and ends up in front of the camera.

If anyone knows how to do any of the following, it would go a long way toward getting the hands to show up on the steering wheel:

a) Keep the character immobile, except for the hands.

b) Make the head disappear

c) Move a specific bone, so I could at least bend the neck into the body

...aaaand it's released.

Better Vehicle First Person

It offers...

• In-game fully adjustable head position and field of view
• Head bobbing / inertia - for me, this makes driving feel a lot more realistic
• Looking back (using the look back control) moves the view clear of the headrest

The core functionality is done; right now I just need to add position saving for individual vehicles and a UI.

A little video showing one of the features included in the new version: neon light management.

It will allow you to turn neon lights on/off individually and change their color.

The new version is finished; I'm just testing it out to make sure there are no bugs, and will release it soon.

Finally! I've finished writing the documentation and samples for developers that want to use CCMAPI in their creations, so the Community Contextual Menu API is finally RELEASED.

Contextual Car Control

Contextual Car Control lets you perform several actions on your vehicle by using an all-new way of interacting with GTA V: a point-and-click menu that changes based on the current context (known as the Community Contextual Menu API). This means that you can perform these actions with extreme ease, without the need to remember a gajillion hotkeys.

While Contextual Car Control is a mod in its own right, it is also a technology demonstrator for my new Community Contextual Menu API.

• Turn signals with smart auto-off & hazards
• Lock & unlock your car remotely
• Open & close doors, hood and trunk
• Turn engine on & off
• Switch seats
• Interior lights on & off
• Searchlight on & off
• Roof up & down in convertibles

• Automatically fasten/unfasten seatbelt at a certain speed
• GTA IV style exit: press the exit key to leave the engine running, hold the exit key to turn the engine off upon exiting

Take a look at the readme.txt file included in the zip. You may also watch the following video for a quick tutorial on how to use the menu.

Known issues

• GTA will consider that you are pointing at a vehicle when you point at the OUTSIDE of the vehicle. If you point at the windows or the inside of the vehicle, nothing will happen. This is a GTA V limitation.

• Open/close door animations may occasionally get stuck for a few seconds.

• If entering as the passenger takes too long, the character will warp into the passenger seat.

• Trying to enter as a passenger from the driver side of the vehicle will have your character pull out the driver from the vehicle, enter the driver seat, and then switch seats. Good for a few laughs, but will hopefully be fixed in future versions.

• After you turn the engine off using the "Engine OFF" option, you will hear the engine trying to ignite and your character will complain. This is a GTA V limitation.

Today I finished the Detailed Menu design, which I think turned out quite decent.

Also, I've ironed out all bugs that I could find, so the release is imminent. Just need to add a couple of final touches.

So I finally got around to working on upgrading this to a new version, including features requested by users as well as bug fixes.

Here's the changelog:

• FEATURE: The TCS image is now hidden when the phone, radio wheel or character wheel is brought up.
• FEATURE: New INI option ONLYSHOWIMAGEWHENACTIVE; if active, the TCS image is ONLY shown when TCS is engaged.
• FEATURE FOR DEVS: Publicly exposed the TCSactive variable so other mods can activate/deactivate TCS if they wish.

• FIX: Fixed the TCS image flickering under certain circumstances.
• FIX: TCS now limited to wheeled vehicles, as it should.
• Changed the default key to "K" since some people complained.
