@benjaminprice24 Invalid model after you've added an add-on car? Did you edit the dlclist.xml? Using the correct names in the add-on dlc the car holds?
Invalid model means the game can't find the model you refer to, so somewhere the referencing is wrong
@dedogmodz What are you rambling about on corrupt files so frequently? That hardly ever occurs.
OP probably screwed up his dlclist.xml somehow.
@Planbsk8er9 Just copy the entire update.rpf to a backup folder so you can always revert back to it when things went wrong...
You do use the mods folder method? If not read up on that. Google it.

@kagimf Could be a typo in in one of the meta files 4 cars back? Perhaps you accidentally left in or out an <Item> or </Item>

When I reached the limit on the number of add-on cars on v350 the game simply wouldn't start. After the first loading screen it CTD's.
It could not hold an extra model be it car or tuning part.

I have all aforementioned 400+ real car names and spawn name in a text file. So if via a CSV import a tool could create hashes and write it to the gxt2 that would be grand
Following this thread with great interest.
If you could one day create a batch tool that automagically adds IRL names to the gtdx or whatever that file is called, that would rock.

Just recently got an issue that might rain on your modkit parade though:
I reserved 2222 for testing modkits (if tuning didn't work, I can check whether its the modkit number or a syntax in my carcols lines...).
When importing various cars all of a sudden 2222 stopped working on me.
I figured it was something in the carcols lines of one the most recent imported cars but no.
I rolled back my actions. And 2222 worked again on car15. Okay, import car16 with its own unique modkit number 442, still 2222 works on car15. Okay, import car 17 with modkit 443. Now 2222 stops working, no tuning on car15. Hmmm so it's in carcols lines from car17 I figured? So, I deleted all carcols lines for car16 (!!!!) and low an behold car15 with 2222 has tuning again? Dafuq...
@Zievs, the Zmod3 and hierarchy parts you got handle on your own, but any which way I can help in add-on / texturing / skins etc just yell

Change the modkit number in carvariations and carcols file (inside the dlc.rpf) to a different number.
Try numbers in 700 - 998 range.
Also numbers in range 421 - 438 work
I use 2222 or 2230 for testing purpose

also note the first color set it spawns with is actually the second color entry set in the carvariations file :P

Could you implement an option so you can input in the ini which cars (maybe even with a probability number similar to the car plate method) your opponents spawn?
So I can let them use imported cars that reside in add-on dlc's

I just use a template (an empty dlc.rpf) and then rename the files I download.
So eg when the replacement is for the Sultan I copy the entire vehicles.meta to the folder containing the downloaded files and delete all entries execpt for the sultan. Then I rename certain links to the name I want the car to have (also spawn-name)
Look very closely at various dlc.rpf's from Add-On cars what other changes you have to maken in the content.xml and setup.xml (there you have to input how the dlc itself is named and then use that name as a reference in the dlclist.xml)
Altering carcols, carvariations etc has a steep learning curve at first, but you'll get the hang of it.
I currently have 60 custom dlc's organized per car-manufacter and/or type. So one dlc that holds all ferarri's, one for all musclecars, one for all supercars etc. After each import I test the car (does it spawn correct, is the handling correct, does the tuning work, do I like the first color is spawns with...)
Time for a dedicated game machine running at least a GTX970 or equivalent... Better start saving if you really want to mod the crop out of V
