Im noticing it wont even let me lock on until Im in combat and it only locks the camera. the punches only go straight in front of my player

Cant throw the first punch
Since the last update I haven't been able to throw a punch unless someone hits me first. All the other melee weapons allow me to attack even without a target but I am unable to punch until I'm hit first. Then I can free throw punches until I exit the combat stance. I haven't added mods since the update but I did remove Low Life Crime. Does anyone know what might be causing this, or maybe what lines in the meta I can check?

Hey guys,
Definitely not trying to complain about anything but I don't stay very up to date on rockstar developments. I heard rockstar wasn't putting out updates anymore but I got the scripthookV update error on launch. If it did update, I can wait for scripthookV or rework my files. My concern is I may have accidentally broken some installation paths while modding. Has there been an update this February? -

@josketer Most if not all of them are the top rated or downloaded mods so I'd hope they're not poorly developed (I'd hope) and I pretty much just use vanilla franklin. I've even tried clean installs but it doesn't seem to change. I've noticed the topic pop up a few times on the forums, I was just hoping someone figured it out over the years. But thank you for your advice.
P.s. I have noticed if I do ever change the player model or animation it uses the broken animation everytime

Modded guns have broken animations sometimes?
Weapons like the assault rifle and shotgun experience occasional broken animations after being replaced with a modded version. For example when replacing the sawed off with Jridahs Mossberg 500, it will float in front of my characters hands pointing straight down. If i change them back to the vanilla weapons the problem goes away.
It seems to happen mostly with active enemies on the map. Does anyone know what might be causing that?

Disable pistol whip?
Does anyone know which values to change in order to disable the melee attack used when standing too close to a target with a gun drawn? Mods like Realistic Melee include is among other content but I would like to find out how to at least remove the "bash" or "pistol whip" from side arms. Essentially, I would like to shoot at point blank range. If anyone knows what values might affect this (Im assuming somewhere in the weapons meta?) it would be a big help.

Weapon Animation Problems
This has been a long standing issue where my assault rifle and pump shotgun appear to be using the micro smg animations
The firing and reloading animations have been broken since using weapon replacement mods (e.g: AK-47 and Spaz12).
The problems only occur when I am in combat, usually with more than one enemy.
I'm using raiders overhaul but the problems started before that when my only active changes were weapon mods.
I tried a clean install but that didn't work. As soon as I install a weapon mod, the same thing happens.

Broken weapon animations
Once I install a moded weapon with animations (slide, shells etc.) the animations dont play properly in combat.
All animations will works as they should until there is combat with more than 2 or 3 npcs.
Once in combat I experience broken firing and reloading animations but only with moded weapons. vanilla weapons are unaffected by this.
Sometimes it seems to affect the moded guns randomly.
