Speaking of which, when will this mod be released? It seems you're placing a lot of time into it because it's been in the works for a while. Feels like it's been years.

Yeah, it's been a while for sure. It's just that there's a lot of things that go into it, even though it seems quite simple.

Another question is will I still be able to use trainers (or in my case spawn props) and move them around, or better yet, CREATE planets as a feature in GTS? (Grand Theft Space)

Yeah, you can spawn props, vehicles, peds, whatever you want. Although, you can create planets, you just need your own models, lol. There's a scene editor and the .space files are XML, so you could even create your own solar system if you wanted.

@nsh3t I don't think so, our mod doesn't effect game files, it's just a series of scripts and a single dlc pack. Plus we where recently featured on GTA 5 Steam news.

@Shrill3x I'm glad you're super hype. and I'm sorry to say we have no concrete date, but we're trying as hard as possible to get it out soon. I know I said last month that at the end of this month we would release, but it's buggy for some people and I don't think it's ready. I just want it to be good and work for 90% of people so we can do addons and dlc and machinima creators / modder can expand it and make this mod their own.

Hi, I'm looking for some help on shaders. I'm super confused about how to get parallax shading like the grass and rocks seen in some areas of the map. I'd like to create a 3D rock effect on my prop.

What shader do I use, and what textures do I need? (Bump, Height, etc.)

We all know what's happening. We don't know if it's a joke. Let's assume it's not, and let me ask a few questions.

• Am I going to be denied a future job because I've released modifications to Grand Theft Auto 5?
• How long before they start fining us for creating mods?
• Can we rebuttle, or refute the DMC and TakeTwo for this, and possibly get modding legal again (assuming it becomes illegal)?

If they claim this site, these people would have direct access to our e-mails and personal information. We're litterally giving them cases.

EDIT: Take this whole thing with a grain of salt or two (see what I did there??). But, am I over-reacting?

It's not a click-to-run app. Drag your map editor file onto the exe, and it will convert the file into a ymap.

@meimeiriver OpenIV seems to have automatically converted the quaternion to euler angles.

@PNWParksFan You should check out xsd.exe. It converts xml files into C# classes generates C# classes from xml files (to be serialized and deserialized). It's what I used to create serializable classes for setup2.xml, content.xml, peds.meta, and .ytyp prop definition files. Very useful tool if you ask me.

Why use 3ds max? If you just have an app that reads the map editor xml and creates a mymapname.ymap.xml file from it, then that should be enough. I recently made a prop dlc creator (it creates an entire dlc folder for you with all files content.xml setup2.xml etc.) so there's no reason someone couldn't just make a little application that lets you do that.

Maybe I'm missing the point.
