I have not installed/modded any vehicles, that was the common cause I found online a few years ago. Was actually in the process of starting over just installing gang peds, some clothes and shoes. Anyone found a work around or where to go to bypass this error on start up?

This is normal. This was expected. It's called a GTA5 patch. This is its aftermath.
Reinstalling your game is a waste of time.
Installing the recently released gameconfig.xml might work for you, but won't work for all of you.
Solutions will be found, issues will unfortunately also appear, so sit tight until all this shit is resolved.
Please remember that the people who will provide mod updates as Solutions are unpaid volunteers and many don't even read these forums.
If you feel this wait is painful, if you find these issues annoying asF, we'll unfortunately it will happen again, like clockwork.
If you want to avoid this crap for the next patch, just backup your current GTA5.exe, you'll thank yourself later.

John I rather get back to the infinite loading screen with everyone else rather than where I am currently. For whatever reason mine quit loading completely (when you press the green play button) through OpenIV any idea why? Should I just reinstall completely since we have time?

I've been trying to figure out but don't know a correct solution. Ex. I'm able to edit the skin color of heads 3,4, 41 & 42 to make them darker. But now they have lighter complexion for their neck and hands. Does anyone know how to make the skins darker complexion so that they match the skin tone of the face correctly? I'm in Patchday4ng where you can extract the body files but unlike the head which goes 1-45, the skins for the body are filed differently. Just wondering how people do this.

So basically to avoid an update in the future all I have to do is go offline when there is one coming out and backup the files just in case.. I'm going through Steam currently where mine runs, is there a way to bypass it where you can turn automatic updates off indefinitely? lol

@LyKx I just started playing again since 2014 a good week ago just for modding and finally had all the mods I wanted lol. I am devastated lmao. Then look on twitch and all the FiveM servers get to run just fine smh.

Of course that usually means scripthook will be broken and blah, blah, blah.... Otherwise, stay offline until the update is confirmed as a 'breaker' or not. At the minimum remember the last day you signed in and use that to change the time when playing offline for the duration. Cheers!!

@iammistahwolf I played in 2014 but just rejoined for the sake of modding a few weeks ago and learned about this lol. Is the time duration correct for the 3-4 days on scripthookV getting an update? I thought it was something I did wrong the entire time for about 12 hrs until I finally started reading the forums.
