Something in the distantlight.* section, maybe. I tried distantlight.carlight whatever it is, but I don't think it helped.
None of the creationdistance values in gameconfig seemed to help it either.. fuck

You know those ones you can see at night, always disappearing at a certain distance? At same point, real cars are rendered, but not the same models or in the same places, so it's quite crummy.
I've been trying for days to figure out what those are and what available cfg values might change it.lodlight.small.range 250.0
lodlight.medium.range 750.0
lodlight.large.range 2500.0Thought it might be these just now, but again no luck. I'm trying to do this for one of my mods for release - to push back the distance where the crappy fake LOD cars are culled and real ones created, by about 50% - 100%.
Any help very appreciated, even earn you a credit on my mod if it's precise -

@PsiBurner Damn man, I have it for like 5 - 10 seconds at a time.
Thing is, I haven't changed my rig and it used to run fine with way more stuff. Maybe some crappy Win10 update did this?Tried reinstalling graphics drivers fresh now, no change. Used to run better on a damned HDD!

I'm pretty sure this only started with Diamond DLC update.. since then I went from 4k to 1920, removed all mods, removed GTA ReSized, switched textures V High -> Normal, tried various gameconfigs and still fucking vanishing textures when I drive
Anyone else?? -

@Albercikus All In The Game mod bro! It can make it too easy, but then you can just set limits for yourself i.e. cannot sell cocaine or heroin, cannot sell to dealers, etc

Nope. It's up to you, there's too much out there.
Personally , I like alternative gameplay ones.. so I use Weed V, AITG, Premium deluxe motorsport (to sell cars and the other to buy them), my own gameplay mod to get more realistic police, and then I'm playing alternate life for everyone where they start with a super shit car or none at all and sell drugs/cars/hitman for better one, while on drugs. But that's me, I'd recommend to look through the Misc/Script mods and see what appeals to you.

I hate rockstar games as a company with every fiber of my being. They are the single greediest, most unscrupulous bunch of assholes I ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They made the framework of the best game in human history and turned it into one of the worst (GTAO) through sheer unmodulated greed. And continue even now to destroy what little redeemable value it had by screwing us out of our modded SP experiences, most certainly on purpose.

I have just been pointed to your work and it looks so promising ! I made my own similar work for GTA IV, with the materials.dat and such. I see the release date is imminent, how is it going ?
Did you manage to fix the motorcycles also? "Realistic Bike Physics and Power" mod did make great inroads there, imo. I replicated and modified those values across all my bikes, I'd suggest to take some inspiration from there if you haven't started on bikes yet -
