How can i make gang peds use Molotov (cocktail) in fight?posted in General Modding Discussion
So i tried to add flag "BF_CanThrowMolotov" to combatbehaviour.meta for gang peds, because i saw different flag "BF_CanThrowSmokeGrenade" which makes cops use smoke grenades, but it does not work, also i edited loadouts to give gang peds molotovs.. so i dont see any problem? In Rampages mini missions gang peds use molotovs.. so it must be possible.. any idea??

@MagmaPlaysGTA Hi, you will need .dds plugin for Photoshop or GIMP (google it), because in GTA 5 there are .dds textures. Overall its very easy, just use OpenIV and find some .ydd (texture dictionary), open it, extract texture you wanna edit.. make your magic in photoshop.. and save it as DXT1 or DXT5 (depends on default texture) with mipmaps . DXT1 is without alpha channel and DXT5 is with it. Also is good to know that .dds is originally compressed texture, so you will notice some artifacts. You can save it as A8R8G8B8 (without artifacts) which is not compressed, but texture size it too much.. i dont recommend that. Yep, so a_f_y_eastsa_03 conversion to g_f_y_vagos_01 works flawlessly.. there is female vagos voice only and ped talk through phones etc.

Here (EDITED: New version uploaded below as mod) is proof of functionality, also with some of my retextures, if someone wanna test it. This ped has little less components than WOV version, but same as vanilla (except additional head) - (1(-) head model - 3 textures, 3 hair models - 9 textures, 3 same model shirts - 8 textures, 3 same model pants - 8 textures, 2 accessories - 3 textures and 2 same shades models - 5(+) textures), but there is actually no jbib component (half mesh that connects to other part - like puzzle) drawable compared to original, so i just specialized this ped to shirts (one upper mesh)..next variant will be only plaid shirt... anyway it can be edited in .ymt by someone who understand that. I still need to learn how to do this, also if you use this fixed ped for some mod or something, just give me little credit.. it took hours to convert (a_f_y) ped to this different (g_f_y) ped with "same" components.
Installation if you have WOV mod:
Just copy g_f_y_vagos_01.ydd, g_f_y_vagos_01.yft, g_f_y_vagos_01.ymt, g_f_y_vagos_01.ytd to ...\GTAV\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\wov\dlc.rpf\x64\models\cdimages\wov_componentpeds.rpf

Well, so i used a_f_y_beach_02 (from mpheist4 dlc) as my replacer for g_f_y_vagos_01.. to fix this weird voice glitches, but nah.. its still there (but vagos voice is there) as i can tell, that this was first time i heard Vagos female talk through phones (interesting talk with some Azteca guy).. yeah, default (and patchday3) vagos female is bugged that she never talk through phones etc.. Anyway im starting to think that racial prefix _lat, _whi, _bla in ped file has something to do with assigned voices also.. its definetly in .ymt, but my experience with this are not great.. so, *uck it.. i will use a_f_y_eastsa3 ped as base for replacer.. this ped i know that works with vagos voice only.. only con is that ped has less cloth components, but with DLC ambientmodelsets addon i can add more same peds with different textures and they will work.. good luck to me

@iammistahwolf I never noticed any other ped that has this voice glitch, but its vanilla bug and probably cannot occur in normal gameplay? Anyway a_f_y ped that i used as replacer worked flawlessly, so i will just convert some big a_f_y ped to this g_f_y and as bonus i will get more texture, model variations (some duplicates), but with unique textures (reskins). I only wish that convert process wouldnt take so much time, but at this point i would say im skilled.. it took only some hours.. i just need replace ped props and im done

So i tried replace different female gang peds (g_f_y_ballas_01) for g_f_y_vagos_01 and voice glitch was still there, but when i used a_f_y_eastsa_03 everything worked fine, so its not only WOV ped version bug, but basically "vanilla" bug, but in vanilla game i guess there is no ambient vagos females around on street etc. or something, so bug never occured there.
Is here someone who understands .ymt file (meta) files? I guess culprit is there.. for now i can use different ped structure and replace all meshes etc. and it should work, but with fixed meta file it would be much easier

After long time this mystery is FINALLY solved. Its caused by WORLD OF VARIETY's version of g_f_y_vagos_01 ped and probably vanilla ped with same name also, because i tried swap vanilla g_f_y_vagos_01 (original and patchday3) for WOW g_f_y_vagos_01 and it still happened, so if your ped ever be bugged / glitched that she/him speaks for 25% like man (or reverse) check specific ped files!!

@CoronaPrime hi, its easily changeable in peds.ymt.. So just check name of your ped.. for instance s_m_y_marine_01 and find that ped specific part in peds.ymt, its under PedVoiceGroup.. naturally now look for different PedVoiceGroup from ped that you want voice and replace it... copy and replace whole line and you will be fine.
BTW: Im fighting with game voices recently myself. Cant find why Vagos gang girls sometimes talk like man. Its only ped that do this.. may be some mod or is it game bug

Firstly i though its normal, because trans people.. but its not definetly normal
Any suggestions pls? Pedvoicegroup is vanilla, so i dont understand why that happens

<PedVoiceGroup>G_M_M_CHIGOON_01_R2PVG</PedVoiceGroup>...or can be voice changed somewhere else? Maybe metadata for ped or some hash_collision (i saw it in peds.ymt) pedvoicegroup.

How can i make new working audiopack/audiogroup for peds?posted in General Modding Discussion
I recently tried to restore ped audiopack that World of Variety unfortunately replace (Mex Boss 2 [Vagos] voicepack is replaced by Azteca voicepack from San Andreas) which is cool that Aztecas have some original voices, but i wanna also Mex Boss 2 original voicepack restored as new audiopack.
I tried to clone original Mex Boss 2 voicepack to different name and also reference in peds.meta is changed, but there is no voice.. so what i do wrong? Can somebody help?

Need help with resizing bandana for my submodposted in General Modding Discussion
Hi, im working on "OG Gangz" submod for World of Variety. It basically adds back original (default) gang variants as new peds, so WoV and OG (default) variants works together and it will not overwrite anything, it will also adds few new reskined peds.
To my main problem.. i need resize this bandana to fit this reskined ped (new Azteca boss). I replaced chain model with bandana (from Marabunta ped), but obviously it does not fit this bigger head. Can somebody help me with correcting / resizing bandana mesh? I will credit you when this submod is released.

How prevent police cars added to traffic from despawning?posted in General Modding Discussion
Im using mod that adds police cars to traffic, but my problem is that after some time, when cops join shootout, their police cars disappear. Its like cop covering behind car and it just despawn.. which looks weird of course and cops are not happy about this also, i guess
Anyone who knows how prevent this?

@mcal9909 That looks like another solution, well i just found classic solution with <TimeToInvalidateInjuredTarget value="x.x"/> in combatbehaviour.meta file and its working. There was like high values 30 even 180 for SWAT.. i think purpose is that enemies stay longer in area, but in many shootouts this on image happen and i cant take that

How can i change NPC (gang, cop) reaction to last dead enemy in shootout. Im not sure wich mod changes this, but seeing whole neighborhood aiming on dead body and acting, using lines like he is still alive is weird and unrealistic
I think it changes some file in AI/ but im not sure which...anyone who knows?

Np, there is possibility that some peds need to be added to more categories in ambientpedmodelset.. i give you example. I tried to add new gang member ped to some places, but this variation never appeared, but after adding ped to POT_SMOKERS also (he was already in GANG_xxx category) they started finally appear, so i recommend check in which default beach categories are original peds that use towel etc. and add them there too
Also you can set "<Probability value="x.xxxxxx" />" of model.. so try play with that..

Maybe there is new weapons.meta file in updated / dlc files and game takes values from there, but i doubt that. Well, you can easily search weapons.meta in OpenIV/Tools/Search..
BTW: There is already two weapons.meta - 1) common.rpf/data/ai... and 2) update/update.rpf/common/data/ai.. (main weapons / dlc weapons are seperated) and second is where game takes values, so you need edit that, but im still using pre-previous version of game so i just guess they did not added whole new weapons.meta

Yep, so i was able to add (clone) default (i just changed colors etc. little bit) Azteca gang members for World of Variety.. thats a thing that i dont like very much.. WoV replace default gang members.. and this way they work together just fine
